General Appearance: Short and petite, Rukia has light skin, violet-colored eyes and black hair, with several strands of hair always hanging between her eyes. Rukia has her hair cropped into a bob that hangs about her face. She wears fingerless white tekkou that extend to above her elbows. As a captain, Rukia wears the traditional captain's uniform, a long sleeved white Haori with a violet inner lining over a generic Shinigami uniform; a white shitagi, a black kosode, a black hakama, a white hakama-himo, white tabi, and waraji.

IV. Personality

Personality: Rukia Kuchiki is an oddity among the nobility of the Seireitei. Being born in the slums of the Rukongai, she maintains an air of modesty and humility even after being adopted into the noble house of Kuchiki. She is both graceful, clean and proper yet humble, polite and lacking the pretence of superiority that often comes with nobility. Holding herself with a cool demeanour, Rukia often hides her feelings even from her closest of friends, often with great success due to her natural talent as an actress. She tends to be considered quite quirky by those close to her, given her immense obsession with rabbits, and her habit to break out into an giddy, childlike excitement when she encounters one, regardless of the situation. She tends to take any criticism of her work poorly, and often reacts with a sudden burst of anger when someone insults her drawings, which are often rabbit-themed. This is mainly due to the fact that she is quite sensitive when it comes to her rabbit obsession, the only remaining glimmer of her once childlike nature before becoming a member of the Kuchiki clan. She has a reasonably simple pallet for a noble woman, with her favourite foods being cucumbers, eggs and plain rice dumplings.
Likes: Rukia is infamous for her obsession with rabbits. Rabbit themed products of any nature provoke a giddy, child like reaction from her. On the Kuchiki estate, she has several pet rabbits which she adores, spending large amounts of her free time grooming and playing with. Despite being an adopted member of one of the most elite houses in the Seireitei, Rukia still enjoys spending time with people her adopted family consider beneath her, enjoying to socialise with the "Lower class" and the members of her squad, including the new recruits and long unseated. Telling of her poor origins, her taste in food is very simple, with her favourites being Cucumber and eggs and plain rice dumplings.
Dislikes: Rukia has always had a passionate disdain for spiders, Having been afraid of them since she was a child, she has always had a kill on sight policy for them. Being a commoner raised in nobility, Rukia has always been annoyed by individuals who look down upon other classes, although she is too polite to express this openly, members of the fellow noble houses looking down upon those not from a noble lineage has always angered her greatly. Her obsession with rabbits has always been a soft spot for her, and she is often annoyed by people mocking her passion.
Motivations: Having been adopted by the noble family of Kuchiki at a young age, Rukia is very loyal to them a a result. As she is now acting as a Gotei thirteen captain of a squad that has been historically led by members of the Kuchiki family, Rukia feels it is her duty to uphold the family name. She is very protective of her friends and family, and feels an obligation to increase her physical prowess and combat abilities in order to protect the ones she loves. She is a very caring leader, and likes to take an active interest in the lives of her squad members, as well as helping improve their abilities.
Fears: Despite being a captain of the Gotei thirteen, and being a rather well respected and dignified Shinigami, Rukia still has her fair share of fears. Rukia has always had a powerful natural fear of spiders since she was a child, and although it no longer debilitates her like it used to, on site of a spider her heart begins to race and she gets rather flustered. On one particular night, Rukia made a scene in her squad's barracks by releasing her Shikai to kill a spider on the other side of the room, although mention of this incident never left the room on threats of death. She is afraid of failing her duty as a Captain of the Gotei thirteen, and of falling in battle.

Zanpakutō Personality: Her manner of speaking is soft and peaceful, but personality-wise, she is cold and somewhat apathetic, unlike Rukia, who is sometimes stern, but kind. Her relationship to Rukia is reasonably cold as well, feeling unappreciated and disrespected. Though when she does let her guard down, she is a rather kind, friendly individual with a polite demeanour, though only on very rare occasions.
