My personal favorite would be Kenpachi. AKA kenny, the guy that keep dieing, but death is to afraid to tell him.

Hitsuguya, Not only does his shikai and bankai look awesome, but his abilities have so much versatility that his strategies and tactics are mind blowing and isn't simply like Ichigo hacking and Slashing till he wins.

Shūhei Hisagi

All round bad ass. As well as the story behind his connection with his Zanpakutō during the Zanpakutō Tales Arc made him my favourite character.
Closely followed by Isshin Kurosaki.

Uryu Ishida, because he's the main character that actually has character development. His grandfather was killed so he wants to kill them, but they're not all bad, but he wants to protect his family but his best friend is a soul reaper. See, THAT's conflict. Not just "Oh, should I screw the ginger girl or the midget who's two hundred years older than me?"

I've gotta agree with this, he's smart, devious and creative which can be a dangerous combo especially when added to the fact that he's so sly and aloof about it. He can be serious without acting serious.
